Softball Game Preview: Lincoln Christian Bulldogs vs. Oologah Mustangs

The Lincoln Christian Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Oologah Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lincoln Christian has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Oologah will arrive with three straight wins.

Lincoln Christian lost 14-4 to Dewey on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, Oologah's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Skiatook. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Oologah's victory bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Lincoln Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Lincoln Christian skirted past Oologah 6-5 in their previous matchup back in August of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
