Baseball Recap: Crisp County Comes Up Short

Crisp County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-3 to the Cook Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-4 defeat last Thursday.

Crisp County's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Cook, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crisp County will head out to square off against Pierce County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pierce County's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Crisp County's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cook, they will head out on the road to face off against Berrien at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
