Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). They put the hurt on the Yuma Criminals with a sharp 9-0 win on Wednesday. Elyssa Ochoa was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Yuma, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Hills at 12:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Yuma also won't see the pitch for a while: their next matchup is against Brawley at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
