Softball Recap: Clarinda Comes Up Short

After flying high against Earlham on Saturday, Clarinda came back down to earth. The Cardinals took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverside Bulldogs on Saturday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in July of 2020.

Clarinda's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Riverside, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

Clarinda wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-0 win against Panorama on the 28th. As for Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-2 victory against Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute on the 1st.
