Basketball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kennedy can now relate to. They were dealt a 53-23 defeat at the hands of the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Kennedy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Payton Siquig posted 11 points and six rebounds. That was a full 47.8% of Kennedy's points, marking the third time in a row Siquig has scored more than a third of the team's points. Chloe Buchner was another key player, putting up four points and nine boards.

Kennedy now has a losing record of 13-14. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they pushed their record up to 14-14 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Kennedy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-57 defeat against Fort Bragg on the 28th. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 67-50 victory against Cloverdale on the 28th.
