Basketball Recap: Hopewell Takes a Loss

Hopewell suffered their closest defeat since February 27, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Chambers Cougars by a score of 67-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (56), the Titans still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Tarris Bouie III, who shot 4-for-6 from long range and dropped a double-double with 35 points and ten boards for Chambers. The game was Bouie III's fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Malik McCotter was another key player, putting up seven points and nine assists.

Hopewell's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Chambers, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Hopewell nor Chambers have any future games scheduled.
