Soccer Recap: Making Waves Academy Takes a Loss

Making Waves Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Bentley Phoenix, falling 8-0. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marlins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Thursday.

Making Waves Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Bentley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Making Waves Academy has already played their next contest (against Head-Royce), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bentley will head out on the road to square off against St. Joseph Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bentley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.6 goals per game this season.
