Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Campolindo). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Ygnacio Valley Wolves 72-42. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Wolves are ranked 824th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Ygnacio Valley still got an impressive performance from Sa'Rye Starks, who went 13 for 32 on her way to 34 points and six steals. Starks' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Te'Aujanae Hill, who posted four points and ten rebounds.

Campolindo is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Ygnacio Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Campolindo will host Las Lomas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Campolindo is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for Ygnacio Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Clayton Valley Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clayton Valley Charter will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Ygnacio Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
