Meanwhile, McIntosh County Academy came into Friday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Bryan County 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Buccaneers have posted since February 14th.

The victory made it two in a row for Screven County and bumps their season record up to 14-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for McIntosh County Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
