Baseball Recap: Edwards County Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Edwards County duked it out with Farina South Central on Friday. The Lions walked away with a 6-2 win over the Cougars. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 9-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Cash Conner made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
