Softball Game Preview: Burke County Bears vs. Edmund Burke Academy Spartans

Burke County hasn't had much luck against Edmund Burke Academy recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Burke County had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Screven County put an end to it on Thursday. The Bears lost 16-0 to the Gamecocks.

Meanwhile, Edmund Burke Academy fell victim to Brentwood and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the War Eagles, falling 11-0. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the War Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Edmund Burke Academy now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Burke County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.
