Basketball Recap: Cochranton Skates Past Saegertown with Ease

Cochranton entered their tilt with Saegertown on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They really took it to the Saegertown Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-27 victory. With the Cardinals ahead 38-16 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Cochranton had a senior duo take command as Marley Rodax almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine steals and Eve Pfeiffer went 10 for 19 on her way to 23 points and three blocks. Rodax is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 16 games she's played. Macie Williams was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Cochranton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 19 consecutive games.

Cochranton's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Saegertown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
