Gehrig Dieter named U.S. Air Force National Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 29, 2011.

has been named the U.S. Air Force National Player of the Week.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound receiver from Washington (South Bend, Ind.) amassed a whopping 447 receiving yards, setting a new national record in the team's 63-10 blowout win over Elkhart Central.
Dieter broke the 2008 mark of 421 yards set by J.D. Felice of Rose Bud (Ark.) in a game against England.
In Washington's season opener, Dieter broke the Indiana state record by registering 373 receiving yards, which was good for No. 8 on the national list.
