Highland is headed out to face Apollo after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Hawks took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 68-36 win over Tucson High Magnet School. The Hawks pushed the score to 54-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Badgers had little chance of recovering from.

Bailey Williams was a one-woman wrecking crew as she went 9-for-16 en route to 23 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Jacobsen, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 14 points along with five assists and five boards.

Highland was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Apollo against Browne on Friday as the team secured a 73-13 victory.
