After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Simmons, Leland was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Palmer Dragons 36-8. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cubs needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

The win got Leland back to even at 3-3. As for Palmer, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Leland and Palmer could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. The Cubs will challenge Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (241 vs. 69). Meanwhile, Palmer (ranked 243rd) will meet North Side (ranked 112th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
