Football Recap: Jameson Niska's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Blaine over Moorhead

Blaine and Moorhead squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Blaine had to settle for second. The contest between the Bengals and the Spuds didn't end well, with the Bengals falling 38-21.

Blaine lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jameson Niska, who rushed for 136 yards and one score while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 92 yards and one touchdown. Blaine is 3-1 when Niska posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

Blaine dropped their record down to 5-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Moorhead, they now also have a winning record of 5-4.

Blaine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Moorhead, they will head out to challenge Woodbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Royals will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Spuds surely won't give up without a fight.
