Football Recap: Reynolds Takes a Loss

Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Lincoln Cardinals 47-12. The Raiders lost against the Cardinals in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 28-27 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Reynolds lost, don't look at Casey Burns. Despite the final result, he rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Reynolds' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lincoln, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Reynolds will be playing in front of their home fans against Westview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will head out to take on Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season.
