Soccer Recap: Piedmont Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gatewood back in March, Piedmont Academy came back down to earth. The Cougars lost 11-3 to the First Presbyterian Day Vikings on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against First Presbyterian Day this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Piedmont Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season. As for First Presbyterian Day, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

Coming up, Piedmont Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Tattnall Square Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for First Presbyterian Day, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Northside at 7:30 p.m.
