Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Keira Vindeo and Nyomi Sanchez Lead Adelanto to Victory

Adelanto's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Barstow on Wednesday. The Adelanto Saints had just enough and edged the Granite Hills Cougars out 44-41. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-16 on January 10th.

Leading Adelanto to victory were Nyomi Sanchez and Keira Vindeo. Sanchez dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards, while Vindeo posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks. Sanchez's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Adelanto's record is now 7-12. As for Granite Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adelanto will take on Silverado at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Granite Hills, they are taking a road trip to take on Victor Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
