Basketball Game Preview: Abington Galloping Ghosts vs. North Penn Knights

The Abington Galloping Ghosts will take on the North Penn Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Abington will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Abington narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Neshaminy 44-41. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Galloping Ghosts' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Skins are ranked 47th).

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, North Penn beat Upper Moreland 48-42 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Abington pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for North Penn, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Abington beat North Penn 51-44 in their previous meeting back in February of 2017. Does Abington have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Penn turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
