Baseball Recap: Framingham Comes Up Short

Framingham was the 7-4 winner over Newton North when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Flyers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday.

Framingham got a good showing from Brian Chagnon, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Ryan McAuliffe was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Jon Coutinho was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Framingham's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Newton North, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.

Framingham wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-4 defeat against Needham on the 13th. As for Newton North, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-4 loss against Natick on the 13th.
