Softball Preview: Bryan County Redskins vs. Claxton Tigers
Bryan County and Claxton are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2020, but likely not for long. The Redskins will be playing at home against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bryan County will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Jenkins on Wednesday. Lila Hannah looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Elizabeth Harvey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in August. Peyton Scott was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Bryan County pushed their record up to 13-13 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Claxton, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
