Baseball Recap: McKay Comes Up Short

McKay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They came up short against the South Albany Redhawks, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 on Wednesday.

McKay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luis Apodaca, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

McKay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for South Albany, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-19.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McKay will take on rival Woodburn at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Meanwhile, South Albany is set to face off against their familiar foe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
