Chase Garnett Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Liberty Christian got the W thanks in part to Chase Garnett playing the best football he has all season. Garnett rushed for 231 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards.

Garnett must have Legacy Christian Academy's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Garnett last faced the Eagles back in September of 2023, he rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.

Soren Ouimette's Rushing Yards a New Career-High

Trinity Christian was led to victory by Soren Ouimette, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Saturday. Ouimette rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 65 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Trinity Christian moved to 3-7 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak. Ouimette and Trinity Christian will face off against St. Thomas Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Parish Episcopal got the W thanks in part to Nick Wheeler playing the best football he has all season. Wheeler rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Parish Episcopal pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Wheeler and Parish Episcopal will square off against St. Pius X at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Will Estes Has Career Rushing Day

Will Estes posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made a tackle. He also rushed for 221 rushing yards, which is notable because Bishop Lynch is 3-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-4 otherwise.

This is the second loss in a row for Bishop Lynch and nudges their season record down to 5-5. Estes and Bishop Lynch will face off against Concordia Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rounding off our Top Five is Carter Devero of Nolan Catholic. Devero threw for 435 yards and five touchdowns.
