Football Game Preview: Valley Center Hornets vs. Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles + How To Watch

Valley Center hasn't had much luck against Bishop Carroll recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Golden Eagles. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Valley Center earned a 19-7 win over Haysville Campus. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Colts recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Rylan Bailey had a dynamite game, rushing for 165 yards and a pair of TDs, while also picking up 33 receiving yards. Those 165 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Bishop Carroll won against East two weeks ago with 24 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Golden Eagles secured a 24-20 W over Derby.

The win got Valley Center back to even at 4-4. As for Bishop Carroll, their record now sits at 5-3.

Valley Center and Bishop Carroll were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting back in October of 2020, but Valley Center suffered an agonizing 1-0 loss. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
