Basketball Recap: Wyoming Valley West Comes Up Short

Wyoming Valley West lost against Crestwood back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wyoming Valley West Spartans fell 53-42 to the Crestwood Comets. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Comets are ranked 36th).

Wyoming Valley West has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Crestwood, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Wyoming Valley West will face off against Hazleton Area at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Crestwood, they will challenge Berwick at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
