Saugus has gone 10-0 against Golden Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Saugus Centurions will look to defend their home court against the Golden Valley Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Saturday, Saugus strolled past La Canada with points to spare, taking the game 59-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Centurions.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Golden Valley). They claimed a resounding 72-29 win over Panorama. With the Grizzlies ahead 38-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Saugus better focus on containing Krysta Ezenwa and Janice Orantes as the pair were huge in Golden Valley's win. Ezenwa dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Orantes went 8 of 18 on her way to 18 points and five rebounds. Orantes continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaia Bryant, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 10 points.

Golden Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Saugus is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Golden Valley, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9.

Saugus beat Golden Valley 52-39 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will Saugus repeat their success, or does Golden Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
