Centennial barely beat Burleson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans blew past the Elks 5-0 on Monday. Centennial might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by four goals or more this season.

Centennial pushed their record up to 14-1-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five contests. As for Burleson, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Centennial is set to square off against their familiar foe Mansfield Timberview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Burleson will challenge rival Joshua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
