It's playoff time, and Chardon had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Aurora Greenmen on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Hilltoppers, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

J.B. Burton tossed a big game, tossing 7.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four games.

At the plate, Justin Smith and Tim Robertson did most of the damage at the plate: Smith went 3-for-5 with one run and one double, while Robertson went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ty Roediger, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Chardon's victory bumped their record up to 18-12. As for Aurora, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-6.

As of now, neither Chardon nor the Greenmen have any future games scheduled.
