Basketball Recap: Fowler Comes Up Short

Fowler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by the Parlier Panthers 75-25. While losing is never fun, the Redcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1264th, while the Panthers are ranked 327th).

Fowler's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Parlier, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fowler has already played their next game (against Riverdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Parlier will square off against Sierra at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sierra is on a five-game streak of home wins, Parlier a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
