With a playoff win on the line, Vidalia Heritage Academy rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past the Grace Christian Academy Cougars 12-4. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Trevor White spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on ten hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jake Beasley was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of RJ Wells, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Vidalia Heritage Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Vidalia Heritage Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Grace Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Vidalia Heritage Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair will be back at it again later today.
