It was a good run, but Screven County unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 11-7 to the Statesboro Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gamecocks of the 11-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Screven County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Statesboro, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Screven County will welcome Metter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Statesboro, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tattnall County at 6:00 p.m.
