Garces Memorial put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Centennial Golden Hawks onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Golden Hawks are ranked 391st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alyssa Avila and Logan Chapman scored both of Garces Memorial's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Garces Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Centennial, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

Garces Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Stockdale on the 13th. As for Centennial, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Frontier at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
