Soccer Recap: Fort Dodge Comes Up Short

Fort Dodge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Central Springs Panthers, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Fort Dodge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Central Springs are ranked 50th).

Fort Dodge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Central Springs, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-2.

Fort Dodge didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 6-1 loss against Northwood-Kensett on the 22nd. As for Central Springs, they will square off against Des Moines North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
