Softball Recap: West Forsyth Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

West Forsyth had lost five games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-4 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Johns Creek Gladiators 12-1. The Wolverines' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

West Forsyth got a great performance from Liv Bootcheck as she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Sadie Woodruff was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Tenley Lynch was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

West Forsyth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Johns Creek only managed four hits.

As for Johns Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3. The match marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

On Johns Creek's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Grindle, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Coming up, West Forsyth will square off against Northview at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Johns Creek, they will challenge Flowery Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
