With a playoff win on the line, North Gwinnett rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the McEachern Indians with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 16 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was North Gwinnett's eighth in a row) raised their record to 30-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for McEachern, they moved to 24-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Gwinnett beat the Indians by a score of 12-0 later that day.
