Delta had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 32-30 victory over the Leroy Greene Academy Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Saints have posted since November 22, 2024.

Leading Delta to victory were Ayren Rapp and Harlie Johnson. Rapp dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards, while Johnson posted eight points along with ten rebounds and four blocks. That makes it five consecutive games in which Rapp has scored at least a third of Delta's points.

When it comes to explaining why Leroy Greene Academy lost, don't look at Anaya Alston. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 20 points and 19 boards. That was a full 66.7% of Leroy Greene Academy's points, marking the 17th time in a row Alston has earned more than a third of the team's points. Jazelle Moore was another key player, putting up two points and 13 rebounds.

Delta's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points over those games. As for Leroy Greene Academy, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
