Basketball Game Preview: Canyon Crest Academy Ravens vs. Tri-City Christian Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens will jump right back in to play the Tri-City Christian Eagles at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Canyon Crest Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 72-59 victory over Fallbrook.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri-City Christian). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Bourgade Catholic 73-35. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 52.2 points per game.

Tri-City Christian's win came from a few key players Canyon Crest Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Garry Dillard III, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and six steals. Dillard III is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dre Cleaves, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Tri-City Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Tri-City Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
