Nowata took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Caney Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Ironmen sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Trojans on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Ironmen as it spelled an end to their 11-game losing streak.

Nowata's win bumped their record up to 3-17. As for Caney Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-9.

Coincidentally, Nowata and Caney Valley will both be playing Kellyville the next time they take the field. The Ironmen will head out to face the Ponies at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 4:15 p.m.
