Soccer Recap: Yosemite Takes a Loss

Yosemite lost against Justin Garza back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yosemite Badgers came up short against the Justin Garza Guardians, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 729th, while the Guardians are ranked 364th).

This is the second loss in a row for Yosemite and nudges their season record down to 3-6-1. As for Justin Garza, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-7-3.

Yosemite will challenge Fresno Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fresno Christian will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last. As for Justin Garza, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Edison on the 10th.
