Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Eaton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the University Bulldogs by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The Reds' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Johanna Galvan made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Brooklynn Minne was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.

Eaton's loss dropped their record down to 24-5. As for University, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 27-2.

As of now, neither Eaton nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
