Soccer Recap: Arcata Wins Going Away Against Upper Lake

It was a proper cat-fight when Arcata took on Upper Lake on Saturday. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Cougars. That seven goal margin sets a new team best for Arcata this season.

Their offense was hitting Upper Lake from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Isai Aguilar led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Arcata now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Upper Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Arcata will head out to square off against Eureka at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Upper Lake, they will square off against Clear Lake at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
