Basketball Game Preview: Costa Mesa Mustangs vs. Savanna Rebels

Having just played yesterday, the Costa Mesa Mustangs will get right back to it and host the Savanna Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Costa Mesa will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Costa Mesa is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Estancia with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 61-42.

It was another big night for Emi Kamikihara, who posted 20 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Leilani Quero, who had 12 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Savanna beat Westminster 37-32 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rebels.

Costa Mesa now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Savanna, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
