Soccer Recap: West Laurens Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

West Laurens and Cross Creek pushed the score to 10-0 the last time they played Cross Creek, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Raiders' defense stepped up to hand the Razorbacks a 1-0 shutout. Given West Laurens' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Cross Creek are ranked 448th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Laurens pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those seven games. As for Cross Creek, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.
