Wyomissing strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Academy of the New Church Lions 35-0. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Lions are ranked 377th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wyomissing's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Academy of the New Church, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wyomissing will venture away from home to face off against Northern Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Spartans their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Academy of the New Church, they are taking a road trip to square off against Jenkintown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
