Baseball Recap: Gilmer Takes a Loss

Gilmer came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-1 to the Union County Panthers. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2025.

Gilmer now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Union County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilmer will welcome Pickens at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Union County, they will be playing at home against Rabun County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
