Volleyball Recap: Hatch Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hatch Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Deming Wildcats. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Hatch Valley started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 18-25, 25-17, 25-22, 15-13.

Hatch Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Deming, they moved to 4-10 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Hatch Valley and Deming will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bears are set to face off against their familiar foe Cobre at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Deming will take on rival Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
