Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tinnley Pidgeon and Michaela Ellsmore Lead Ferndale to Victory

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Ferndale ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Fortuna Huskies 40-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Leading Ferndale to victory were Michaela Ellsmore and Tinnley Pidgeon. Ellsmore posted 12 points, while Pidgeon had 14 points. Another player making a difference was Maddison Gossi, who put up eight points.

Ferndale pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Fortuna, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Ferndale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-37 loss against St. Bernard's on the 9th. As for Fortuna, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-33 defeat against Arcata on the 9th.
