Soccer Recap: Goddard Comes Up Short

Goddard lost against Mayfield back in August of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Trojans who were credited with the win. The Mayfield Trojans got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Goddard Rockets' four. Goddard have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexander Chavez and Koen Breedyk scored all three of Goddard's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Mayfield, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Goddard didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Carlsbad on the 9th. As for Mayfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Roswell on the 9th.
