Baseball Recap: Jenkins County Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

While Jenkins County's victory against McIntosh County Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The War Eagles had just enough and edged out the Buccaneers 4-3 on Friday. The War Eagles haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Jenkins County's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was James Allen, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Tyler Williams, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Jenkins County pushed their record up to 9-14 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for McIntosh County Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

The Buccaneers are facing the Bluejackets at the right time seeing as the Bluejackets are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
